26 Sept., 1929 - The Pilot-Tribune
Mr. and Mrs. Rolla Burress, farmers living near Woodbine, Iowa, who were killed Tuesday night at a railroad crossing on the Northwestern road, were relatives of Mr. and Mrs. A. Carver of this city, Mr. Burress being a nephew of Mr. Raver. The two sons of Mr. and Mrs. Burress and a daughter-in-law were also killed in the accident, all being occupants of the same auto. Their car stalled in the path of the train and was carried 100 yards and reduced to a tangled mass of steel. No member of the party was alive when the train crew reached them.
