John P. Eversen died at the Blair hospital last Thursday evening following an illness of but short duration. The deceased was born at Thirsted, Denmark on September 27, 1852, and came to America in 1888. He first located at Florence and in 1894 he moved to Blair where he operated a livery barn for many years. Mr. Eversen was widely known in this community, and had a large circle of acquaintances who held him in high esteem. Funeral services were conducted from the Danish Lutheran church on Monday afternoon, the Rev. H. Nielsen officiating, after which interment was made in Blair cemetery. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Eversen of Omaha; a daughter, Mrs. J. E. Vanderereek also of Omaha; four grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
NOTE: The Blair Cemetery records and Find a Grave have his last name spelled Everson and the headstone is spelled Eversen.
