FORMER BLAIR GRADUATE DIES AT HERMAN
Miss Gertrude Mortensen, aged 33, died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mortensen, northwest of Herman early Saturday morning. She was well known and highly respected. She graduated from the Blair high school, and has attended the Wayne State Teacher’s College a number of terms. She has been a successful teacher the past eleven years. The past four years she has taught in the Plattsmouth schools, and was re-elected to teach there again next year.
She is survived by her parents, one sister, Florence, and two brothers, Henry and William, the latter living at Fremont.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Baptist church in Herman, conducted by Rev. Immanuel Petersen of the Hill Creek Lutheran church. Burial was made in the Herman Cemetery.
