D. C. LaRUE CRASH VICTIM
D. C. LaRue, formerly of Blair, died Tuesday in Lord Lister hospital of Omaha from injuries received when his car skidded into a ditch near the Henry Braesch farm, two and one half miles west of Bennington Tuesday at 7 p.m.
He was taken to Lord Lister hospital by Dr. C. W. Hickey of Bennington, and an operation was performed in an effort to save his life. He received a fractured skull in the crash.
LaRue was a retired blacksmith. He was driving to Omaha to meet his wife, who however was at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Arnold Mullman, at Adel, Ia. He was the father of E. W. LaRue, 6517 No. 24th St., owner of the Ad-Sar-Ben Bowling alley, and Mrs. Bessie Garrott, 2455 Mary St.
Also surviving are two other sons, Hubert of North Platte and Lucien of Kearney.
