Services For Clarence French Were Monday
Funeral services for Clarence R. French, 74, of Arlington were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Arlington Community Church.
French, who operated French’s Service Station for many years, died Thursday at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County.
He was born on January 6, 1906, in Arlington, and was a lifetime member of the community. He was in the oil business in Arlington for 48 years. He belonged to the Arlington Community Church.
On October 26, 1930, he married the former Maurine Black at West Point. She survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Robert and Jaryl, both of Arlington; four daughters, Mrs. Joe (Anita) Pelisek, Trurow, Iowa; Mrs. Les (Gayle) Otteman, Chandler, Ariz.; Sandra Wieser, South Sioux City, and Mrs. Jack (Karen) Myers, Fremont; a brother, Leslie of Arlington; and a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Vila) Norskov, Papillion, 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Gerald Senn officiated at Monday’s service. Burial was in Arlington Cemetery. Reckmeyer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
