Mrs. P. C. Gaines passed away at her home in Kennard Friday afternoon. She had been in failing health for the past several weeks. Mrs. Gaines was an active member of the Ladies Aid Society, the Methodist Bible class and the Royal Neighbors of America lodge. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, one son, Perry, one sister and one brother. Those from out of town attending the funeral were Messrs. and Mesdames Fred Gaines of Council Bluffs; Jack Wright of Raymond, Nebr.; O. E. Gaines of Omaha; Leonard Gaines of Fremont; Chet Gaines and Mr. Ed Gaines of Arlington and Mrs. Mabel Anderson of Lincoln.
