John Iversen, who passed away at his home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska August 22, was born on the old Iversen farm west of Fort Calhoun in 1882. In 1898 he moved with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. John Adolph Iversen, to Fort Calhoun were he learned the blacksmith trade. After he was married, he moved to Plattsmouth. His grandparents were territorial pioneers who settled near Fort Calhoun in the fifties. Relatives to mourn his loss are his wife, Blanche, and six children by a former marriage. He was buried in the Fort Calhoun cemetery August 24th.
