DAN PHILLIPS DIES SUDDENLY
Word reached Blair Tuesday that Dan Phillips, formerly of Blair, had succumbed to a sudden heart attack at his home in Omaha early Tuesday morning.
Dan will be remembered by a number of Blair people as he farmed out in the Gardner school district for a number of years. While here he entered the race to the nomination for county sheriff against Morris Mehrens, but was defeated.
He was for a number of years on the Omaha police force. He leaves a wife and one son by a former marriage.
Note:The Vig notes at the Danish American Archives has his wife's name recorded as Mary and children Irvin, Ray and Thomas listed.
