The funeral for May E. Lund, 89, of Nebraska City, formerly of Fremont, will be at 1:30 today at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fremont. Lund died Friday, Feb. 11, 1994, at a Nebraska City nursing home.

May Sorensen was born May 30, 1904, at Kennard, where she grew up and attended Kennard High School. She moved to Fremont in 1937.

She was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Sorensen married Carl Lund June 29, 1929, in Blair. He died March 17, 1990. Survivors include a daughter, Joan Dawson of Nebraska City; a son, Stanley, of Bainbridge Island, Washington; and seven grandchildren.

The Rev. Leland Uden will officiate today's service. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery. Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Home in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established to the church.
