MRS. JULIUS PETERSEN DIES OF STROKE
RESIDENT HERE FOR PAST 35 YEARS DIES AT HER HOME
Mrs. Julius Petersen passed away Friday morning at five o'clock as the result of a stroke a few days previous.
Anna Elizabeth Christensen was born in Wisconsin, on April 30th, 1872 where she lived for some years. The family came to Nebraska in the nineties and she met and married Julius Petersen in 1899, the ceremony being performed at Dannebrog, Nebraska. They had no children.
They farmed in New Mexico and in South Dakota. They came to Blair in 1915 where Julius engaged in the hardware business for 21 years and then closed out the stock and retired.
Mrs. Petersen was a woman of real merit and to know her was to be her friend. Besides the husband she leaves a sister, Mrs. A. R. Brock of Blair and a brother, Sam Christensen of McPhersen, Kansas.
Funeral services were held from the First Lutheran church Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. H.C. Jorgensen officiating and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery under the supervision of the Bendorf Funeral Home.
