Relatives from here and Kennard drove to Grand Island on Saturday where they attended the Funeral services held for William Heuermann, age 77 years, who died there at his home following an illness of several months’ duration. Mr. Heuermann was born in Ohio and came to Arlington with his parents where he grew to manhood. He was married to Elva Masters, also of this place, and about forty five years ago they moved west. For a number of years they resided on a farm near Phillips, and since they had retired from active farm life, they lived in Grand Island. Besides his wife, Mr. Heuerman is survived by two sons, Bernard of Phillips and William of Lincoln and one daughter, Mary, who teaches at Chadron. One brother, Henry Heuerman and one sister, Mrs. Henry Plugge of Kennard also survive him. Burial was made at Phillips. Relatives from here who were at the services were Mrs. Fred Heuerman, daughters, Lucille, Elva and Mattie and sons, Fred and Chet, Mrs. Edna Schmidt, Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Jahnel, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Plugge, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Plugge, all of Kennard.
