J.H. GRIMM DIES, AGE 80
LIFETIME BLAIRITE, LONG A FARMER, DEAD; FUNERAL THIS AFTERNOON
J.H. (Hannas) Grimm, 80, lifetime resident or Blair, died late Tuesday afternoon at the Blair Convalescent Home where he had been a patient. He had been failing for more than a year.
His death occurred a year and a day after the death of his wife. The Grimm home was at Fourth and Dolfas Sts.
Born of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hans Grimm, Hannas Grimm was born Oct. 6, 1873, and attended the Blair schools. He farmed at the east edge of Blair many years before retiring. He and Fanny Lantry, daughter of the late Mr. and Mr. L.L. Lantry, were married Jan. 8, 1922.
Surviving Mr. Grimm are two brothers, Dr. Arthur Grimm of New York City, New York, and Ed Grimm of Blair; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Peterson of Blair. There are a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held today (Thursday) at the Bendorf Funeral Home at 3 o'clock. Officiating will be the Rev. Donald Scheuer of the Congregational Church. Burial is to be in Blair Cemetery.
