Francis Foley Dead, Age 48
LIFETIME BLAIRITE DIES AT HOME THURSDAY; CATHOLIC FUNERAL HELD
Francis Foley, 48, better known as “Bud” Foley, died unexpectedly Friday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Foley, at 211 East Colfax St.
The body was removed to the Campbell Mortuary, where the rosary was recited Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, with the Rev. Edward C. O’Donnell officiating. Burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery here.
Francis Foley was born south of Blair May 25, 1907, and had spent his entire life in and near Blair. The Foleys moved into town 25 years ago.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Foley; and by four sisters, Mrs. H. L. Campbell (Vina) of Kilgore, Nebr., Mrs. Leo Hogan (Rosalie) of Mankato, Minn., Mrs. C. D. Howard (Beatrice) of Blair and Mrs. Bennard Reeh (Teresa) of Blair. Another sister, Mrs. Robert O’Hanlon (Rita) died 10 years ago.
