#1-6 July, 1903 - The Pilot - Mrs. H. J. Hansen
Mrs. H. J. Hansen, living near Orum, died the evening of the 4th at her home. She had spent the day at Blair, and soon after returning home was taken violently ill and died before medical aid could reach her. The Pilot has been unable to learn the cause of her death, but rumor has it that it resulted from an internal hemorrhage. Her parents recently moved to Blair. She leaves a husband and one daughter. The funeral services were held today.

The Republican learns from U. Dickmeyer, who resides near Orum, the following particulars in regard to the sudden death of his neighbor Mrs. Emily Hansen: Hans Hansen and wife got home from the Blair celebration about 9 o'clock, and after Mrs. Hansen had assisted in milking she became suddenly very sick . Dr. Perlee was sent for but could do nothing for her and death occurred at 2 a.m. that night. It is supposed that the cause was the internal rupture of a blood vessel. The funeral was on Monday from the Danish Lutheran church at Orum, Rev. Larsen officiating. Deceased was the daughter of Johannes Jensen, of this city and leaves a husband , a little daughter of three years and many friends to mourn her sudden death.
#3-9 July, 1903 - Blair Courier - Mrs. H. J. Hansen
Mrs. H. J. Hansen, who lived out near Orum, was taken suddenly ill on the evening of the 4th and died about midnight from hemorrhages. She had been in Blair celebrating and was apparently in good health up to the time she was taken sick. She leaves a husband and one daughter. The funeral was held from the home at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, and interment made in the Orum cemetery.
