Mrs. Anna Frye Buried Friday
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Frye, 96, were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Fremont Congregational Church. Rev. Albert Becker officiated. Burial was in Elk City.
Mrs. Frye was a resident of the Dodge County Community Hospital Annex where she died Wednesday. Born Aug. 18, 1869, in Elkhorn, she lived in Douglas County until 20 years ago and had lived in Fremont since then.
She was married to William Frye in Elkhorn Sept. 24, 1887. They farmed in Douglas County until his death June 1, 1911.
She was preceded in death by her husband and five sons.
Surviving are three sons, Chester, Arlington; Andrew, Omaha; and William Holdrege; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Irene) Gifford, Fremont; and Mrs. Ralph (Ethel) Brooks and Mrs. Charles (Edna) Miller, both of Ralston; 25 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Jack Cady was soloist and Mrs. Ruby House was organist.
Pallbearers were Don Gifford, Robert Frye, Jack Frye, Melvin Brooks, Eugene Frye and Greg Miller.
