LAST RITES FOR HARRY ERVEY, 74 HELD TUESDAY
Born And Reared In County. Was Victim Of Heart Attack
Harry Ervey passed away on Friday, November 2nd in the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha of heart trouble. He was born on a farm northwest of Blair on February 23, 1871, and has made this county his home since that time.
On December 24, 1891 he was married to Miss Ella Compton, the ceremony being performed in Blair. Four children, Vera and Nellie of Phoenix, Arizona; Ferne of Fremont; and Faye at home; and the widow survive. Besides the members of the immediate family, he leaves seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Myra Beck of Crookston, Nebraska; and Mrs. Nellie Bowles of San Clemente, California.
On December 24, 1941 Mr. and Mrs. Ervey celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary, and the happy event was remembered by a host of friends who knew him as a good friend and neighbor.
For over thirty three years Mr. Ervey has been a faithful member of the I.O.O.F. in Blair, and he will be greatly missed in this gathering.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Blair with Rev. Sidney L. McCaig officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

Harry Ervey Dies Friday
FUNERAL SERVICES HELD TUESDAY AFTERNOON AT METHODIST CHURCH
Harry Ervey was born February 23, 1871 on a farm northwest of Blair and passed away at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha on Friday, November 2nd.
He spent all of his life in Washington County, except for eight years, which he spent in Nance County. He has been a member of the Odd Fellows lodge for over 33 years.
He was united in marriage to Miss Ella Compton on December 24, 1891 and in 1941, the couple celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary.
Survivors include his wife, four daughters, Vera and Nellie of Phoenix, Arizona; Fern of Fremont and Fay at home; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Myra Beck of Crookston, Nebraska and Mrs. Nellie Bowles of San Clements, California.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 2pm from the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Sidney McCaig officiating. Burial was made at the Blair Cemetery.
