CHARLES TIMPE DIES IN IOWA
Charles Timpe, for years a resident of the Fontanelle neighborhood, died April 3rd at Denmark, Iowa. The body was brought to Fontanelle where interment was made in the Salem Lutheran Church cemetery.
Deceased was born in Denmark, Iowa in 1860 and when a young man came to this county. He was married to Ann Pettingill and to them five sons were born, all of whom survive. They are Oliver, Washington, D.C.; Karl, Fort Morgan, Colorado; Conrad, Madison, Nebraska; Somers, Chicago, Illinois; and Arthur of Denmark, Iowa. They were all present at the funeral. His wife died several years ago.
Mr. Timpe was a man of refinement and a staunch believer in education, and was always first in his community in fostering any progressive move.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 7.
