LARS ROLLAND DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

Lars Rolland, a farmer of the Orum neighborhood since 1917, died at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha following a lingering illness of about three years, the past few weeks of which was critical.

Deceased was born in Norway July 2nd, 1877 and came to America in 1900. He first settled at Thor, Iowa.

On March 17, 1914 he was married to Miss Mathilda Larsen who survives and with their five children - Mrs. Margreth Stroy at home; Gustav of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Mrs. Helen Lillian of Fontanelle; Eunice, Student nurse at Methodist Hospital in Omaha; and Philip at home - and one grandchild, Gary Hubert Stroy, mourn deeply the loss of a devoted husband and father.

Funeral services will be held from the First Lutheran church on Friday, March 17th, at 2 p.m., and interment will be made in the Blair cemetery.
