MYRON METZINGER DIES IN MINN.
Myron Metzinger, former Blair man, died in his home near Little Marais, Minnesota on the night of February 28th at the age of seventy five years. Funeral services were held last Saturday, March 4th.
Deceased was born in Iowa City, Iowa, and came to Blair in the late 80’s or early 90’s and for several years made his home in Blair and vicinity. For a time he resided in Omaha.
He was of an inventive turn of mind and invented a spark plug which was known as the Fool Proof plug. He formed a company here and for a time his product looked promising, but the company failed.
He left Blair some ten or fifteen years ago, and went to Minnesota where he has been in the truck gardening business. About a year or so ago he had a stroke from which he never fully recovered.
He leaves his widow and several children to mourn his passing.
The children are: Mrs. Paul West, Colbert, Washington; Mrs. V. O. Gravatt, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Mrs. Carl Hovendick, Davenport, Iowa; Mrs. E. L. Hendershot, Davenport, Iowa; Mrs. Erling Olsen, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and F1c Melvin R. Metzinger in the U. S. Navy at San Diego, California; and twelve grandchildren.
Besides the immediate family, he leaves one brother, Marion, also of Little Marais, Minnesota.
