7 Jan., 1943 - The Enterprise FORMER BLAIR MAN DIES IN OMAHA

J. B. Adams, 81 years old and a former Blair businessman, died at his home in Omaha last Saturday of heart trouble.

For ten years deceased was connected with the grain business. He came to Nebraska from Connecticut when he was 21, and for a time was employed by the Burlington railroad. Later he came to Blair and was with the Crowell Lumber and Grain Company here and later in Omaha, and in 1912 he founded the Adams Company.

During his residence in Blair, he was a consistent church man and was highly respected.

Survivors include two sons, Lloyd H. and Alfred L., Omaha; one daughter, Miss Beulah, Omaha; and two sisters, Miss Mary E. Adams, Canaan, Connecticut; and Mrs. Burton Tripp, Southport Connecticut.

Services were held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Burket chapel with burial in Forest Lawn cemetery.
