WALTER PETERSEN
Walter Petersen, aged 21 years, died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Petersen at 1 o’clock a.m. Sunday, May 30, 1920.
About three years ago the young man received an injury while riding a horse from which he never fully recovered. Sometime back he submitted to an operation, but when the operation was performed, on account of the bad condition of the lungs and heart, an anesthetic could not be administered and the shock to the system was severe.
After the operation he seemed to improve, but later he relapsed and finally passed away.
The funeral services were held yesterday at the home about ten miles south of Blair, and the immense gathering present was a token of the great respect in which the young man was held.
Interment was made in the German cemetery.
