Diane Rae Halsey was born January 1, 1946 to Roy “Chet” and Carolyn (Farrens) Watkins in Blair, Nebraska. She passed away February 17, 2018 at Fremont Health Medical Center in Fremont, Nebraska, at the age of 72.
Diane received her education at Tekamah High School. She was a driver, offering transportation services for Arrow Stage Line, Tekamah Golden Living Center and Union Pacific Railroad. She really enjoyed providing rides for those in need.
Diane also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; she loved to catch every moment on camera. She also enjoyed traveling with her mother, Carolyn to Arizona and hanging out with her best friend, Phyllis. Riding in the semi with her son, Terry was also a fun, random adventure she loved. She also enjoyed the daily company from her close friend, Brenda McCluskey. She had three loyal companions, her dogs Sassy, Cooper and Libby.
Although Diane did not have a preferred church, she had a strong belief in her maker, God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; special friend, Lloyd Kjeldgaard; grandparents, Harry and Gladys Farrens; aunts, Ruth and Phyllis Puffer; uncles, Linton and Marion Puffer.
She is survived by her son, Terry Hansen of Tekamah; sister, Linda (Jack) Hovendick of Tekamah; nephews, Jay, Kevin and Kim Hovendick all of Tekamah, Dave Puffer of Blair; nieces, Tammy Hovendick of TX, Jill Hovendick of Tekamah, Kimberly Hovendick of Milford, NE; grandchildren, Kashe Hansen of Tekamah, Lindsey Hansen of Tekamah, Justine Thomas of Sydney, NE, Jamie Barr of Blair, Cherish Ruby of CO; great grandchildren, Jadalynn and Lola Brumfield of Tekamah, Montana Ruby of CO; great nieces and nephews, Doug Adams and Susan Adams both of Modale, IA, Debbie Adams and Kylynn Puffer both of Omaha, NE, Cathy Adams and Rosie Rosell both of Mondamin, IA; and many more. |
