CARL H. KAY IS DEATH VICTIM
At the age of 83, Carl H. Kay of Fort Calhoun passed away on December 15. Funeral services were held last Thursday at two o’clock at the Presbyterian Church of Fort Calhoun, and burial was made in the Calhoun cemetery.
Mr. Kay was born in Holstein, Germany on December 4, 1858. He came to the United States in 1883 and took up carpentry work in Omaha, later moving to a farm near Fort Calhoun. There he spent the remainder of his life with the exception of ten years when he was employed in a sawmill in the state of Washington.
Survivors include two sisters, Lena of Greta and Hannah of Germany; a brother, Hans of Fort Calhoun, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
