OBITUARY OF MRS. T. A. LINDENMEYER

Daisy Frances Ware, daughter of James and Frances Ware, was born in Flint, Michigan February 2nd, 1875. One year after her birth her parents passed through Omaha on their way to Cozad, Nebraska where they resided a few years when they moved to Greeley County, Nebraska where her father took up a homestead.

After enduring the hardships incident to pioneer life for a few years, they decided to return to Cozad where she attended the public schools and at a very early age she began teaching in the rural schools and also was teacher of the grades in the Cozad schools. After teaching about eight years, she was married on June 22, 1899 at the home of her parents to T. A. Lindenmeyer, who was the minister of the Lexington, Nebraska Christian church. They began housekeeping immediately after their marriage. To their union five children were born: Lucile, Anna, Blanche, Paul and Kathryn.

They were called to serve as ministers of Christian Churches in various places in turn: Saybrook, Illinois; Goldfield, Iowa; Pawnee City and Falls City, Nebraska; St. Joseph, Missouri; Tuscola, Illinois; Frankton, Indiana; Salem, Bridgeport, Robinson and Hutsonville, Illinois; North Platte, Fairfield, York, Beaver City, Guide Rock, Inavale, Stamford and Overton, Nebraska. They moved from Overton to Blair, Nebraska to serve as the ministers of the Blair Church of Christ.

She passed out of this life into the life beyond at the Blair Hospital very suddenly at 12:30 o’clock noon, July 3rd, following a cerebral hemorrhage, aged 66 years 5 months and one day. Some time before her marriage she united with the Christian Church at Cozad, the pulpit of which her husband supplied during the summer of 1898. She later transferred her membership to the various Christian churches where she served with her husband. She was an active member of the Christian Women’s Board of Missions for many years and was honored by being made a life member by the Pawnee City, Nebraska and Bridgeport, Illinois local auxiliaries. She served for several years as a member of the state board of Nebraska Christian Women’s Missionary societies.

She was a member in various places where she resided in both Illinois and Nebraska of local women’s Clubs and the Women’s Christian Temperance Union, in which organizations she was honored by being called to serve in various offices. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors of America since 1907, transferring her membership to the local camp when coming to Blair.

She leaves, besides her husband and children: Mrs. Lucile Potter of Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Ann Bolt of Tekamah, Nebraska; Mrs. Blanche Kirchman of Wahoo, Nebraska; Paul Lindenmeyer of Areola, Illinois; Miss Kathryn of Blair and Hebron, Nebraska; four sisters: Mrs. Carrie Hart of Cozad, Nebraska; Mrs. John W. Gill of Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Laura Spencer of Los Angeles, California; and Mrs. Beth Harvey of Cozad, Nebraska; four brothers, Wm. B., Gilbert and Richard Ware of Ogden, Utah; and Harry A. Ware of Omaha, Nebraska; six grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 pm. Monday from the Church of Christ with Dr E. P. Gabriel of Fremont, assisted by Rev. W. S. Lowe of Lincoln and Rev. C. E. Hamilton of Blair officiating, and with Mrs. Alfred Kyne of Fairfield, Nebraska as soloist assisted by Mrs. E. P. Gabriel at the piano.

Interment was made in the Sloan, Iowa cemetery.
