MRS. U. S. RENNE SERVICES SUNDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. U. S. Renne, former DeSoto resident were held at Syracuse, Nebraska at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon. She had passed away on Tuesday evening, October 18, after a short illness from flu, which later developed into pneumonia. The Rennes resided on a farm north of Fort Calhoun until about two years ago when they moved to Syracuse.

Mrs. Lulu A. Renne, 313 S. 5th Street, was buried Thursday at Burr, Nebraska.

Lulu A. Wilcox was born March 8, 1878 and grew to womanhood in her home near Burr, Nebraska. In August, 1895, she was married to U.S. Renne at Tecumseh, Nebraska. To them were born two sons, Paul and Dee, both of whom survive her, together with an aged father and mother, four brothers and five sisters. For the last three months she had been in feeble health, but until Sunday morning was not considered critically ill. During her recent illness she expressed a desire to be buried in the cemetery near her old home. Her death occurred at her home in St. Joseph, Missouri, Monday morning at 5:50 oclock. Her last words were “Paul, raise me up!” And she died in the arms of her sons. Paul and Dee Renne desire to express their thanks to their friends and relatives for their kindness and sympathy during the illness and death of their mother, also for the beautiful floral offering.
