EARL HILLMAN GAS VICTIM BURIED SUNDAY

Earl Hillman, Blair appliance salesman who was discovered last Tuesday noon in his room at 310 North Third street, passed away at the Blair hospital Thursday evening. Hillman’s death was attributed to partial asphyxiation, caused by a gas heater which is believed to have used the oxygen in the room.

In an unconscious state he was rushed to the Blair hospital and was given medical attention but he died last Thursday evening.

He was born in Modale, Iowa on September 26, 1905 and was thus forty three years of age at his death. His parents moved to Blair a number of years ago and here Earl attended school. When he reached maturity he worked for a time for the Blair Telephone Co., but later was in the employ of the American Telephone Co. for about twenty years.

He was married and leaves on son, now six years old. Besides the son, he leaves his father, Ab. Hillman of Blair, also four sisters, Mrs. Carol Thornburg and Mrs. George K. Nelson of Blair and Mrs. John Toft and Mrs. Raymond Vineyard, both of Los Angeles, California.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 from the Methodist church with Rev. Sidney L. McCaig delivering the funeral address, and interment under the auspices of the Fick Funeral Home was made in the Blair cemetery.

The pallbearers were Thomas Harwood, Kenneth Hineline, Harry Bolin, Walter Kelly, Scott Hineline and Harold Small.
