MRS. J. P. LARSEN DIED WEDNESDAY
Ill for Nine Months; Died From Effect of Stroke
Mrs. J. P. Larsen passed away Wednesday afternoon at the Blair Convalescent Home. She had been ill for nine months and had suffered a stroke last May, and this was thought to be the contributing cause of her death.
She was born on a farm west of Orum on Sept. 29, 1873 to Mr. and Mrs. Peter P. Nilsen. Here she grew to womanhood, and on April 29, 1890 she was wed to J. P. Larsen, the ceremony taking place at the parental home.
Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Larsen. Two died in infancy, another at 12 years and another, Chris, in full manhood.
Those living are Nels, Lawrence and James, all of the Herman vicinity; Mrs. Herman Nelsen, Longview, Washington; and Mrs. Earl Daniels of Camden, Mo. These, with the husband and six grandchildren and six great grandchildren, mourn deeply their great loss.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Lutheran church, and interment under the supervision of the Bendorf Funeral Home will be made in the Orum cemetery.
