DITLEF (Ditlev) HANSEN DIED IN SO. CITY

Herman - Ditlef H. Hansen was born August 13, 1869 in Denmark, and passed away at the St. Joseph Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa April 7, 1948. He came with his parents to Nebraska when about twelve years of age, and settled on a farm near Spiker where he grew to manhood.

On May 12, 1897 he was married to Miss Ida Wachter, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Chris Wachter. They farmed in the Herman vicinity for several years, then moved to Cherry County where they took a homestead. Mr. Hansen was in business at Elkhorn for a number of years but retired twelve years ago, living in Herman for a few years and eight years ago they moved to Bancroft. Here they were living at the time of his death.

He leaves to mourn his death his wife, Ida, one son, Clifford of Omaha; two daughters, Mrs. James Pickett of Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska; and Mrs. Harold Jordan of Bancroft, Nebraska; three grandchildren; one brother, John Hansen of Arlington; and one sister, Mrs. Henry Christiansen of Fremont and a host of friends.
