CHRIS STENDER RITES TUESDAY

Chris Stender of this county died Sunday at 3 a.m. following an illness of two weeks, one week of which was in the Dodge County hospital where he died.

He was born July 15, 1901 on a farm in this county, and his entire life was spent here. He was never married.

He leaves to mourn his death three brothers, Otto of Winside, Nebraska; Emil of Blair and Ernest of Germany; also four sisters, Mrs. Henry Petersen of Bedford, Iowa; Mrs. Fred Wulf of Blair; Mrs. Gus Auch and Mrs. Ben Bergman of near Washington.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon from the Washington church just eleven years to a day after his sister, Mrs. Chris Schumacher, was buried. Services were held under the supervision of the Bendorf Funeral Home.
