FORMER BLAIR MAN BURIED IN IOWA

William T. Cox of Farragut, Iowa died in an Omaha hospital on Tuesday of last week, and funeral rites and burial were made in his home town of Farragut.

At his death deceased was eighty years of age. He was at one time freight agent in Blair about fifty or fifty five years ago when the freight depot stood just south of where the light plant is located.

While working here he met Miss Luvia Smith, a sister of our townspeople, the Misses Frances and Grace Smith. They were married and moved to Farragut where they have since resided.

For a number of years he farmed near Farragut but in the fall of 1935 he moved to Farragut where he died. He was for a long term of years connected with the Commercial Bank at Farragut and served as administrator of many important estates which responsibilities he executed with marked ability. He was a member of the National Guard of both Iowa and Nebraska.

He was an ardent Mason and in 1944 was awarded the fifty year membership certificate and the funeral rites were Masonic rites.

He was a man of high ideals, fair and honorable in his dealings, and he held the respect and esteem of his townspeople who knew him.

He leaves the wife and one daughter, Mrs. Exie L. Shuman, both of Farragut.
