LOCKJAW FATAL TO 13 YEAR OLD BLAIR GIRL
Funeral Held Sunday For Eunice Hansen Who Died Thursday
Funeral services were held Sunday for Eunice Hansen, 13 year old Blair girl who died in an Omaha Hospital Thursday where she had been suffering from a severe lockjaw infection. Death came just ten days after the young girl fell from a bicycle at the Chester Schafersman home at Telbasta July 15. The lockjaw was a result of scratches sustained in the fall.
Eunice Irma Hansen was born in Blair April 12, 1933 and was baptized in the First Lutheran church on June 25, 1933. She spent her life in the vicinity of Blair, living for a while in the McCarthy District, later on a farm southwest of Ft. Calhoun and the past several years in the home near Gardner School.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calle Hansen of Blair, Eunice graduated from Gardner school this spring and would have been a freshman in high school this fall.
The funeral was held at the First Lutheran Church here with the Reverend H. C. Jorgensen officiating.
