Marie Taylor, 101, of Blair, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, in Fremont.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 29, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun. Interment will be at the German Cemetery in Bennington.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., and a vigil service at 7 p.m., all at the church.

Marie (Kahnk) Taylor was born April 1, 1909, in Washington County.

She was married to Ralph L. Taylor.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth and David Heer of Blair, Sue and Jim Herron of Ogden, Utah; grandchildren, Jeffery and Jackie Heer of San Jose, Calif., Christine and Brian Yueill of Omaha, Michael Heer of Atlanta, Ga.; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, and 12 siblings.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
