#1-16 Feb., 1903 - The Pilot - Marie Foster
The many friends of Miss Marie Foster will regret to learn of her death which occurred at Dubuque, Iowa last Friday of diabetes from which trouble she had been suffering for some time. Marie was the only daughter of Mrs. Jessie Foster and a granddaughter of E. H. Clark. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon at Calhoun where the remains were buried. The many friends of the family extend their sympathy to the mother in her bereavement.
#2-19 Feb., 1903 - Blair Republican - Marie Foster
Died at Dubuque, Iowa Feb. 13th, Marie, the daughter of Mrs. Jessie M. Foster. Her remains were taken to the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Clark in Omaha, and from there on Sunday afternoon, the 15th, were taken to Fort Calhoun and buried in the family lot. The services were by Canon Marsh of St. Marys parish, Blair. The floral offerings were rich and beautiful and the little church was filled with sympathetic friends and relatives from Omaha, Blair and Calhoun. Little Marie was born in Blair April 25th, 1889. She was a favorite and greatly beloved here and elsewhere by all who knew her. A year and a half ago she went with her mother to Dubuque and soon after that fatal disease, diabetes, developed and ended her happy earthly career. She was conscious to near the last and only regretted leaving her mother and friends to whom the sympathy of this entire community will go out. “None knew her but to love her, none saw her but to praise."
#3-19 Feb., 1903 - Blair Republican - Marie Foster
Marie Foster, a granddaughter of Hicks Clark, died at Dubuque, Iowa, and the remains were brought here Sunday afternoon, the funeral being at the Congregational church at 3:30 after which deceased was laid to rest in the Calhoun cemetery. She was fourteen years old.
