MRS. M. CARPENTER DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Mrs. Eloise Matison Carpenter passed away on Wednesday morning, April 18, at Oakland, California where she and her husband, Moses Carpenter, have made their home for a number of years.

Fourteen children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter, four of them dying in infancy.

Mrs. Carpenter suffered a stroke about three weeks ago, and was left paralyzed on the right side with a blood clot on the brain.

The Carpenters lived near Herman before moving to California where they have since resided.

The husband and ten children survive. Mrs. Carpenter is a sister-in-law of Mrs. Ida Hindley and the Carpenter sisters of Blair.
