ORVILLE HANCOCK DIES AT HOOPER
Orville Hancock, 84, died early Wednesday at his home in Hooper following a lingering illness.
He was born Dec. 31, 1886, in Washington county. He made his home there and around Hooper all his life. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are a brother, Frank of Omaha, and three sisters: Mrs. Esta Smith of Corona, Calif.; Amy Hancock of Blair; and Ethel Hancock at home.
Services were conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Bethel Methodist church with Rev. C. V. Powell officiating.
Burial was made in the Telbasta cemetery.
Mr. Hancock came of a Washington County pioneer family. The father, Frank Hancock, was an early settler on Bell Creek where he spent his years of activity. |
