James S. Conety Died Monday
Funeral services were held Wednesday for James S. Conety, well known Washington County man who lived north of Blair. He was 85 years old.
Mr. Conety was a retired farmer, having held an active interest in farming all of his life.
He was born October 8, 1880, at Waterloo, Nebraska, but came to Washington County many years ago.
His wife, the well-known Abbie Conety, preceded him in death several years ago. Ned Tyson, of Blair, is a step-son of the deceased man. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Ann White, of Valley, Nebraska; Mrs. Helen Kinney, of North Platte; and Mrs. Ernest Bartz, of California.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Campbell Mortuary with the Rev. Richard Atherton conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Harry Tyson, Al Marquardt, George Heinssen, W. R. Schaffer, Don Schettler and Howard Hansen.
