Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Fred Bader funeral home in Fremont for Clyde G. Hindmarsh, 61, a lifelong resident of Arlington community. Rev. A. W. Clarke of Schuyler officiated, with burial in the Arlington cemetery.

Mr. Hindmarsh, the son of Adam and Sarah Harkin Hindmarsh, was born June 14, 1888 on a homestead near Lone Tree, Neb. He attended Arlington High school and was graduated from Fremont Normal. On April 5, 1911 he married Josie M. Holland in Omaha.

Always active in civic affairs Mr. Hindmarsh served as a member of the school board of Districts three and five for many years. He was also a member of the Masonic and Modern Woodman Lodges of Arlington and the Elks Lodge of Fremont. Mr. Hindmarsh was also recognized as the oldest breeder of spotted hogs in the nation.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Duane at home and Keith who farms nearby. Also two brothers, Ray of Grand Island and Lewis of Seattle, Wash.
