| #1-10 July, 1907 - Blair Courier - Louisa J. (Reynolds) Hughes
Mrs. C. T. Hughes died at her home on the farm Sunday evening of dropsy, and the funeral was held at the house Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. J. G. Shick officiating. She had been sick about two months, and death came to her relief about 7 o’clock. She was born in Miami Co., Ind. 59 years ago and besides her husband, who is now 71 years of age, leaves three sons and five daughters. W. D. Hughes, who lives south of town, is a son of the deceased.
#2-11 July, 1907 - Blair Democrat - Eliza Hughes
Mrs. Eliza Hughes, wife of C. T. Hughes and mother of W. D. Hughes, who lives on the Rosenbaum farm, died Sunday evening from dropsy and the funeral was held Monday afternoon. Deceased was about sixty years old and came to Blair from Fremont with her husband about three years ago.
