Mrs. John Porath died at 7 o’clock Sunday morning of dropsy, and the funeral was held at the German church at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon. She was born in Mecklenburg, Germany a little over 70 years ago and had lived in this county for about sixteen years. She leaves a husband and one daughter, Mrs. Rabe of Omaha, who was present with her husband to attend the funeral service.
