24 Oct., 1906 - Blair Courier - Margaret (Brooks) Wilbur
Mrs. Margaret Wilbur died at her home on Lincoln street at 5:30 last Wednesday afternoon, and the funeral was held at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, Father Williams of Omaha officiating in the absence of Rev. Marsh, who was in Minneapolis. Mrs. Wilbur had suffered a great deal since she was hurt in the swinging door at the post office nearly three years ago, and this unfortunate accident undoubtedly hastened her death. She was born on the Isle of Man in 1819, and was married to William S. Brooks Aug. 13th, 1838. Of this union there were five children, but three of whom are now living, Frank Brooks and Mrs. Hanslip of this city, and Mrs. Scott of Omaha. Mr. Brooks died in January, 1851, and in 1859 she was married to John Wilbur, whose death occurred about eight years ago.
