Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Japp, who live on the old Daws Rose place near Kennard, lost a three year old boy last Sunday. The little fellow got a bean in his windpipe last Friday which they could not get out so they took him to Omaha at once. The bean was removed by an operation, but it was unsuccessful, and he died Sunday afternoon. Rev. J. Charles of the Kennard Methodist church conducted the funeral services on Tuesday afternoon. Interment was made in the Kennard cemetery. The accident was a very sad one and the sympathy of many friends goes out to the grief-stricken parents.
