14 July, 1909 - The Pilot - Wilhelm Hilgendorf
Died, at the home of his son, Arthur Hilgendorf, living north of the German Lutheran church, Sunday, July 4, Wilhelm Hilgendorf of Milwaukee, Wis., aged 67 years. Mr. Hilgendorf had arrived here the Friday before his death, with the intention of spending some time here in hopes that the change of climate would prove beneficial to his health, he having been a sufferer from asthma for several years. His death Sunday was wholly unexpected, and was a terrible blow to his relatives. His body was taken to Milwaukee Monday for burial, accompanied by his two sons, Arthur and Richard, the latter having accompanied him here from home. A short service was conducted by Rev. H. Hallerberg before the departure of the remains for Milwaukee. The deceased was a brother of Rev. Hilgendorf, former pastor of the German Lutheran church here, but now a resident of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
