Lela Marguerite, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Carter of Ft. Calhoun, died at Wesleyan Hospital in Lincoln last Thursday after an illness of but a few days. They took her down there for an operation for rupture and afterwards it was found she was suffering with tubercular meningitis, which caused her death. The funeral was held at the Christian church in this city at 1:30 Saturday afternoon, Rev. M. G. C. Bennett officiating.
