ACKERMANN RITES MONDAY
FRANK ACKERMANN, BLAIR PAINTER, DIES AT 76; CATHOLIC RITES SET
Frank Ackermann, 76, long-time Blair painter and paper-hanger prior to his retirement last fall, died yesterday morning at the Ackerman home, 415 North Walker Ave.
The body is at the Campbell Mortuary, where, it is announced, the rosary will be recited at 2 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, the Rev. Edward C. O’Donnell officiating, and interment will follow in Holy Cross cemetery.
Mr. Ackermann was born in Germany Aug. 27, 1876. He came to America in January, 1899, and on Oct. 29, 1901 was married at Petersburg, Nebr. to Rosa Vogt. The couple came to Blair in 1917, their home since, after having resided at Humphrey and Lindsay.
Surviving Mr. Ackermann are his wife, Rosa; one son, Gus Ackermann of Baltimore, Md., a daughter, Mrs. Albert “Bud” Gilliland (Agnes) of Blair; a brother, Joe Ackermann of Petersburg, Nebr.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A daughter, Frances, died in infancy.
