Dick worked for Union Pacific Railroad and retired from Century Link. He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Edna (Emswiler) Burkhead; and brother, Junior Burkhead. He is survived by his wife, Carol (Moller) of Blair; sisters, Beverly Coyle of Council Bluffs and Connie Boehler of Crescent; brother, Duane Burkhead of North Little Rock; daughters, Tami Sinnott, Teresa Burkhead and Nicole Hoffmann; and grandchildren.

A small, Private Celebration of Life will be held in November.

Richard (Dick) Burkhead, age 79, passed away Oct. 20, 2021, following a long illness.
