One-time Blair Woman Succumbs
Mrs. Erwin E. Caldwell, a former resident of Burt County and one-time Red Cross Nurse of Washington
County, died at Bakersfield, California November 30th. She was 74 years old.
Mrs. Caldwell was a former Lucille Booton. She spent most of her life in the Tekamah area and was a World War I nurse who served in France. For a year she was a Washington County Red Cross Nurse.
After her marriage to Mr. Caldwell, the couple lived in Colorado, Arkansas and then California. She is
survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Charles Wilson, of Bakersfield, and by one grandson.
A sister Mrs. Mae Johnson resides at Blair and a niece, Mrs. Lester Walker, lives at Fremont. Mrs.
Johnson and Mrs. Walker are attending the funeral in Bakersfield today.
