Services for Clara Jensen, 90, formerly of the Audubon and Atlantic, Iowa area, who died January 24, 1995 at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan, Iowa were Saturday, January 28 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Atlantic. Rev. Ron Barnett and Rev. Stephen Gronseth officated. Burial was in the Atlantic Cemetery.

Clara Jensen was born July 1, 1904 to Mathias and Marie Kathrine Larsen Christensen. She attended schools in Audubon and Cass Counties in Iowa. She lived in the Atlantic area, except for a brief time when she worked in Des Moines.

She was confirmed at the Oak Hill Lutheran Church in Brayton and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, St. Paul's Lutheran Missionary Society; Lutheran Church Women, Atlantic Senior Citizens and the Maccabbees.

She married Peter Christian Jensen December 25, 1934 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and they farmed north of Atlantic until retiring and moving to Atlantic in 1970. She moved to the Salem Lutheran Home in October, 1988, residing there until her death.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, January 3, 1980; her parents and two brothers, Fred Christensen and Ernest Christensen.

She is survived by a daughter, Marie Nielsen of Haugton, Louisiana and her husband, Don; a son, Rev. Kenneth Jensen of Blair and his wife, Bonnie; a sister, Freda Stringfellow of Atlantic and her husband, Darryl; five grandchildren and their spouses: Rev. Philip and DeAnn Nielsen of Wymore, Nebraska; Laura and Brian Kelly of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Mark Nielsen of St. Louis, Missouri; Dr. Paul and Jayne Jensen of Blair and Kari Jensen of Blair and two great-grandchildren, Jessie Nielsen and Quinn Kelly.
