7 Mar., 1895 - The Pilot - 4 Year Old Son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Williams
Ft. Calhoun, Feb. 26, 1895.
This morning was the funeral of the little four-year-old boy of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Williams. The poor little fellow has been a sufferer for the past two years, and was for a long time in Omaha staying with his aunt, Mrs. Blakeman, and then for some time here in Calhoun with Mr. and Mrs. Ira Gilbert. No pains possible were spared to either save his life or ease his sufferings.
The funeral was from the Congregational church, Rev. Wainwright, D. D., American Bible Agent at Blair, officiating. The singing was conducted by Hugh Stevenson, with Miss Anna Couchman at the organ, assisted by Fred. Errickson, Frank Boynton, Misses May Boynton, Lilly Price and Mary Couchman. The pallbearers were four young girls about 12 years old, Blanche Rowley, Bertha Taylor, Jessie Jipp and Gretchen Schwager. The coffin was pure shining white, a picture of the pure shining beauty of the heaven above. and there were many beautiful flowers in token of three of our sweetest earthly blessing-children, birds and powers.
