October 15, 1896- The Pilot- William Tietsort
Mr. Tietsort received a telegram from Haveson County, Iowa stating that his son William was dead and come immediately; this was last Saturday morning and the folks returned today and gave particulars of his death. He had been to Dunlap, Iowa to get some repairs for his thrashing machine and while crossing the railroad track was struck by a locomotive and was instantly killed. The deceased leaves a wife and several small children to mourn his death. Mr. and Mrs. L. Tietsort, father and mother of Wm Tietsort have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.
