The death of Mrs. Herb Phillips occurred Monday from consumption. She leaves a family of five children, the oldest one grown and the youngest a mere baby. Funeral services were held at the house Tuesday, Rev. Campbell officiating.

Note: The Vig Files at the Danish American Archives has her name recorded as Jane Anne (McManigal) Phillips. Her son Herbert is buried in the Blair Cemetery in Block 40 Lot 9 Space 4. There are no burial records for Jane Ann.
